Feis Ceoil 2024: highlights for Live Audiences

The 128th Feis Ceoil takes place from 11 to 22 March 2024.

We welcome members of the public to join us in watching the competitions, with free entry to most of the halls. There is a small entry fee to some of the senior competition finals in the RDS Concert Hall. However the calibre of talent showcased at this level is truly exceptional, and we can guarantee a wonderful listening experience that far outweighs the €5 entry.

School Choir of the Year Final

Folen's Publishers €3,000 Award & Trophy

Monday 11th March, 7pm, RDS Concert Hall, free entry

The winning choirs from each of the choir competitions compete for the title of Folens Publishers Choir of the Year 2024 and a €3,000 prize. This final is a culmination of countless hours of preparation from these young choirs, and coupled with their raw excitement, it always makes for uplifting evening.

Dramatic Cup (Opera) Final

Dramatic Cup and €5,000 Quigley Awards

Thursday 14th March, 7pm, RDS Concert Hall, €5 entry

Competitors perform two contrasting operatic arias for the 1st prize of €4,000. This is the highlight of the festival for opera lovers, who relish the chance to hear well-known arias performed with a piano accompaniment. Trends from past years indicate that today's winner will be treading bigger stages tomorrow, so take the opportunity to see them now, before they appear in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre.

Junior Musical Theatre & Senior Musical Theatre

Cup & Rathmines & Rathgar Musical Society Monetary Awards

Saturday 16th March, 10.00 am & 2.00pm, Wesley House, Leeson Park, free entry

Competitors perform a piece from the musical theatre repertoire. A truly enjoyable day for both competitors and audiences, as songs from the most beloved musicals are brought to life with full costume, acting and all that jazz.

Chamber Music Cup

Cup & Monetary Awards

Sunday 17th March, 2.30pm, RDS Dodder Room B, free entry

Ensembles of between three and nine musicians perform from the Chamber Music repertoire.

Inaugural Choral Conducting Competition Final

In association with Chamber Choir Ireland

Wednesday 20th March, 10.00am (rehearsals) & 2.00pm (performances),

Kevin Barry Room, National Concert Hall, free entry but ticketed.
Competitors compete by conducting Chamber Choir Ireland in a set piece. A thrilling opportunity to hear Ireland's flagship professional choral ensemble in action.

Morris Grant Bursary (Senior Piano Final)

Wednesday 20th March, 7pm, RDS Concert Hall, €5 entry

The winners of our seven senior piano competitions compete against each other for this €2,500 Bursary. Witness the culmination of years (often decades) of dedication and passion in this esteemed pianoforte final.

Gervase Elwes Memorial Cup (Senior Vocal Final)

Friday 22nd March, 7pm, RDS Concert Hall, €5 entry

The winners of nine senior vocal competitions, including the Dramatic Cup, compete against each other for this prestigious prize. Watch these talented young vocalists showcase their finely-trained voices and love of music in our final competition of 2024.
