Competition: For competitors under 19 years*

1st Prize: Gold Medal

2nd Prize: Silver Medal

Test Pieces 2024

 

Competitors to perform two pieces: one of the two set pieces; and own choice piece for Marimba

(a) Set piece (Snare drum): Up Sticks (Principle Percussion ABRSM book, grades 6 to 8)
OR
Set piece (Timpani): Nick Woud: Variations (Principle Percussion ABRSM book, grades 6 to 8)

AND

(b) Marimba: Own choice piece - either 2 or 4 mallets acceptable. Not to exceed 5 minutes.

NB: A minimum of three competitors is required for this competition to be held

 

*age at 1st January in the year of the competition
